Across SEIU Healthcare Michigan, we’re in a tough fight to raise standards, improve training, and enhance working conditions for all healthcare workers – and now it’s your turn. Through hard work, and amazing organizing, over 31,000 Home Care workers in the Home Help program were victorious in winning their union, and their unified voice back, and now we have the opportunity to collectively bargain for changes that will improve your lives and the lives of those for whom you care.
In the upcoming months, united together in OUR UNION, Home Care workers in the Home Help program will come together to begin negotiations to win a strong first Union contract that will improve standards of care across every county and every city in Michigan. Bargaining a collective bargaining agreement with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) represents a unique opportunity to win increased wages and better benefits for all Home Help Home Care workers, raising standards for Home Care workers everywhere. However, winning improvements cannot happen without YOU participating and sharing the power of your experience and the experience of your clients.
